Whilst interning at T2 Tea, I was tasked with designing print collateral for a How To Brew card, which was distributed to customers during the 2024 Christmas season. 

T2 Tea’s retail team needed a step-by-step guide for making the 2024 Christmas campaign’s two hero teas. Using supplied photography and copy, the guide needed to be visually communicated clearly and efficiently, while simultaneously reflecting T2 Tea’s refreshed identity as one that is premium.

During my internship, I was also a key contributor to the packaging design for the upcoming 2026 Baxter’s Hot Cross Buns tea. 



The visual concept
The initial concept for the How To Brew card was to replicate the packaging of the teas themselves by implementing the same use of typography, visuals, and colour. However, the composition became too visually cluttered, with the text feeling like more of an afterthought than a priority.

Sizing
After scaling the visuals and colour back in order to replicate T2 Tea’s existing How To Brew Cards, I thought that the card could be something customers could keep within their tin of tea. So, the second few drafts were designed at A7 in size. This size proved to be too small though, making the text illegible for customers.




The final How To Brew Card was changed to larger size that was also landscape in orientation. This way, I was able to fit two sets of instructions on one side of the card, and include visuals from the campaign on the other.
